EDAPHIN STRESS
Abiotic Stress Protection — Heat, Drought, Cold, Salinity
"When the field turns hostile, the plant needs a shield."
EDAPHIN STRESS is formulated to protect crops during episodes of abiotic stress — heat waves, drought periods, late frosts, and temporary salinity events. It does not prevent stress from occurring; it reduces the metabolic cost of stress and shortens recovery time.
The primary mechanism of STRESS is osmoprotection. Under heat or drought stress, plant cells lose water faster than roots can supply it — leading to wilting, reduced photosynthesis, and ultimately yield loss. Betaine, naturally abundant in the plant-based biological base of EDAPHIN, acts as a compatible solute: it accumulates inside cells and lowers the osmotic potential, allowing cells to retain water even when the external environment is water-stressed. This same betaine is what competitors source and add separately as a premium ingredient — in EDAPHIN STRESS, it is already present at meaningful concentrations from the biological production process.
Free proline, a stress-specific amino acid that plants produce under extreme conditions, is added to STRESS to accelerate the cell's own response. Rather than waiting for the plant to produce proline during stress — which takes time and energy — STRESS delivers it immediately.
Potassium silicate strengthens cell walls, reducing the physical damage caused by heat and water loss. Seaweed extract provides additional hormonal signals that activate the plant's stress response pathways.
The biological component of STRESS maintains soil microbial activity during stress periods — because soil biology, like plant biology, suffers during extreme conditions and typically requires weeks to recover without support.
